    North Shore miles

I got in some quality training miles this afternoon - Mililani Mauka > Kipapa Gulch > Waipahu > Kunia > Snake Road > Haleiwa > Waimea > Haleiwa > Dole Plantation > Wahiawa > Mililani Mauka. At 53 miles, it was far from being in the 'epic' category, but it was some solid October endurance / base miles.

SRM File. Pavg: 223w and 2240 kJ of energy consumed.

Looking at SRM file from the same ride a week ago, I was within 9 seconds of the same ride time. Crazy!

The North Shore was pretty clogged up with winter (big wave season) surf traffic... from within Haleiwa all the way to Waimea! This makes for a bit of a crazy adventure, riding the sholder lane, crossing my fingers that I don't get knocked on my ass by a surfer crossing between traffic.

The only other highlight of my ride was finding some guys military ID on the side of the road. I'd love to hear the story of how it ended up there! Someone partied a bit too hard in Haleiwa one night and had to walk back to Schofield?!
