What better way for two cyclists that bagged a State TT Championship wins less than 24hrs earlier, than hiking up 3922 stairs. Today started off with waking up a little after 4am. I kind of expected to see a ton of other hikers with the same idea to hike the same location on Memorial Day, and I was right. During out ascent and descent I think we saw at least 30 people.... and no guard!

Almost there... This is about 3900 steps after the first "Almost there..." note written on a railing with a sharpie pen.

Gorillas in the mist...

The summit was clouded out pretty good.

Dropping down 100ft made a huge difference in visibility. That's piece of spaghetti down there is H3.

Kaneohe Bay framed through the window of an old building on the way up.
I think my legs hurt now...

Congrats on the Championship to both of you! Your new record was a amazing feat considering the wind we faced heading out.
The hike looked like a ton of fun, I have been wanting to do that hike since I came to the island.
