"If you're an athlete, if you're anybody, anyone with a brain know thats two of the most important things for happiness and performance in your life whether you're a cameraman, or a teacher, or an athlete, is rest and food. If you don't have those two things dialled in pretty well you're not going to be near to your 100% capability of performance. - Bode Miller (American Skier / Olympian)"

    TT'ing in the VoG

Man do I love this volcanic gas that I've got to breathe right now... It's definitely not the best stuff for an asthmatic to be breathing, but I guess it's part of the package of living in Hawaii. After a week of racing in Oregon, I didn't touch my bike on Sunday or Monday. I finally did a couple easy hours on the road bike on Tuesday. Tonight it was time to throw down a few time trial intervals... I managed to spend 17 minutes cruising at 362w and 31.68mph. The intervals going into the wind completed at 353.6w and 28.86mph. Looks like I might be having a little wattage party at this Sunday's Hawaii State TT. The tradewinds are meant to return on Friday, so I'm hoping that they blast away some VoG so that I've got some fresh air to race in on Sunday morning.
